This National Apprenticeship Week (9–15 February 2026), we’re proud to join organisations across the UK in celebrating the value of apprenticeships and the role they play in building skills for life. The week shines a spotlight on how practical, hands-on learning helps people develop confidence, capability and long-term career opportunities.
At PS Tech, developing people has always mattered to us. Whether someone is taking their first steps into the workplace or continuing to build on qualifications already achieved, we believe in creating an environment where learning is encouraged and potential is supported.
Starting Out: Welcoming Our New Apprentices
This year, we’re delighted to support two team members who are at the beginning of their apprenticeship journeys:
Meet Xavier Hazzard

I'm looking forward to learning more about networking and servers. I look forward to being able to apply these skills as I take on more challenges at PS Tech.
Xavier started his IT career with a Level 3 ICT apprenticeship. Since joining PS Tech around 9 months ago, Xavier has been exposed to real-world scenarios, working hard on our Level 1 help desk alongside experienced colleagues. This provides the opportunity to build practical skills that complement formal learning.
Becoming a CompTIA certified systems engineer is Xavier's next step on the ladder as he starts his next apprenticeship. Xavier says “I'm looking forward to learning more about networking and servers. I look forward to being able to apply these skills as I take on more challenges at PS Tech”
Xavier’s curiosity and willingness to get stuck in has already stood out and we’re super excited to be supporting this next section of his career path.
Meet Andrew Stanyer

When I was younger I was a solo game developer for a few years so working with code and troubleshooting issues has been something I have done as a hobby for while.
Andrew is also starting his Level 3 ICT apprenticeship journey with us whilst currently gaining experience on our Level 1 help desk. Andrew says that what interests him most about working with IT is “the problem-solving side of it. It’s always satisfying to fix something for someone.”
It’s great to see that appetite for problem-solving in youngsters and for Andrew working with code and troubleshooting has always been a hobby of his. We look forward to helping Andrew to meet many more of his career goals for years to come.
Both apprentices reflect exactly what National Apprenticeship Week is about: learning by doing, growing in confidence and building skills that last.
Recognising Achievement: Welcoming a Newly Qualified Apprentice
We’re also pleased to welcome Jordan Venkateswarlu, who joined PS Tech having already gained their Level 3 Infrastructure Technician and Level 4 Cyber Security certifications.
Jordan already has hands-on experience in designing, maintaining, and securing complex infrastructure environments across enterprise systems. It’s a great example of how apprenticeships continue to deliver value well beyond the point of qualification, and we’re excited to see Jordan's knowledge and continual desire to learn work well within our team here at PS Tech.
Early Exposure: Supporting Work Experience Students
Alongside our apprentices, we’ll be welcoming work experience students throughout the year. These placements offer young people a valuable insight into working life, helping them understand different roles within IT and professional services, while building confidence and practical workplace skills. For many, it’s the first step in shaping future career choices, and we take that responsibility seriously.
Why National Apprenticeship Week Matters to Us
National Apprenticeship Week is about celebrating people at every stage of their development, from first introductions to the workplace through to newly qualified professionals. At PS Tech, we’re committed to supporting that journey, helping individuals grow while strengthening the future of our industry.
We’re proud to play our part in developing the next generation of talent.
